羅德芭蕾舞團、羅德表演藝術劇場今年二月首登臺中國家歌劇院大劇院，詮釋經典芭蕾舞劇全本《胡桃鉗》，吸引逾千觀眾入場，今年十二月十一日下午二時卅分，將以全新製作回歸花蓮縣文化局演藝廳演出。團長蘇明珠、藝術總監唐自常和執行製作人唐雨禪，四日拜會更生日報社長謝立德，共邀鄉親購票入場觀賞。

過去曾製作《柯碧莉亞》、《灰姑娘》和《鹿王與貧女》等十齣大型芭蕾舞劇的羅德舞團，巡迴國內外常博得好評。其中《胡桃鉗》是家喻戶曉的童話故事，每逢聖誕節或特別節慶，全球大舞團必定演出，魅力歷久不衰。蘇明珠表示，二○○二年首次搬演，在花蓮、高雄和臺北巡演，經歷廿年亦多次搬上舞台，大受好評。

她說，今年首度前進國家歌劇院登台演出，再度搬演《胡桃鉗》，沒想到廣受西部觀眾好評，獲得如雷掌聲，更締造大劇院啟用以來首場本土舞團演出芭蕾舞劇的歷史紀錄；明年將前進高雄衛武營國家藝術文化中心演出，「從東部打進中、南部後，臺北國家戲劇院就不遠了！」
原訂今年三月六日就要回到花蓮演出，適逢本土疫情升溫，順延至今年底，終於即將登台。羅德舞團成軍迄今廿七年，近十餘年新秀輩出，蘇明珠表示，這次將集結十八位來自臺北、臺中和花蓮的科班專業芭蕾舞者，以及十位羅德培育的青少年舞者，登上花蓮舞台共同演出。
唐雨禪指出，其中首席男舞者沿用今年臺中場的世紀當代舞團專職舞者賴有豐；首席女舞者是首度與羅德合作演出的謝馥謙，她十六歲就考取葡萄牙國家芭蕾學院，現為保加利亞國立芭蕾舞團職業舞者，因疫情留臺，演出經驗豐富，舞技備受肯定；另有現就讀臺北藝術大學舞蹈系的獨舞者戴佑宇，是羅德一手栽培的在地人才。
唐自常表示，這次《胡桃鉗》將以古典芭蕾舞劇形式編排，採二幕三景，包括第一景家中大廳、第二景雪花世界、第三景糖果王國，都是由他手繪長達十六米、高八米的巨大布景，畫面古典寫實，舞台視覺效果十分讓人驚豔；此外，全劇服裝更多達一百五十四套。
